ABOUT THE PROJECT
Our client, a group of industry leaders in the kitchen joinery scene, came to us after investing heavily in new European manufacturing equipment. They needed a brand to position them as the South Island’s go-to-hub for mass-produced designer kitchens.
Our strategy was two-fold, creating an umbrella brand for growth in the B2B market, as well as a consumer brand for a modular kitchen range. We came up with the name ‘Nordzco, a nod to the New Zealand made aspect and the Nordic style approach to production and design.
We distilled the brand’s essence down to the core thought ‘Joiners of Simple Sophistication’. We wanted to set Nordzco apart from competitors, with an industrial and functional feel dominating the market. Clean and simple, the understated aesthetic of the brand style speaks to the primary target audience of architects, interior designers and building companies.
The versatile brand palette was inspired by Nordic and New Zealand nature. Paired-back neutral tones give a more refined feel to the B2B branding, while on-trend interior design hues allow for the personality to be dialled up in the kitchen range brand.
Since launching in 2018 Nordzco has been going great guns, they have gone from a permanent staff of four to now twenty in the space of a year. They also recently opened a Central Otago branch to keep up with demand from large development contracts in Queenstown. With a solid base in the B2B market, we are now working together to launch their consumer range of designer modular kitchens. Watch this stylish space.
